Remington Arts Festival

Remembering Canton’s native son, Frederic Remington, by honoring a new generation of artists

Frederic Remington, whose paintings, illustrations and bronze sculptures of the Old West made him famous, was born in Canton. You can’t buy one of his works at this annual festival in his honor. You can, however, pick up pieces made by North Country artisans, who display their wares at an art show and sale held at the Village Green Park and Presbyterian Church. Marking its 14th year in 2015, this event is aimed at boosting support for North Country artists.
