Susan paints primarily in pastel; her paintings feature landscape and floral subjects, and some pet portraits.  She paints both en plein air and in the studio, and her subjects are a reflection of her life-long love of the natural world. She also has an extensive background in historic forms of decorative folk art.  A native of upstate New York, she is currently a member of the cooperative gallery, NorthWind Fine Arts, in Saranac Lake.   All paintings are made and framed with museum quality archival materials.  Susan also paints in oils and acrylics.
