Bluseed Studios, Saranac Lake

BluSeed Studios

Former warehouse now a Tri-Lakes arts hub.

It seems that nobody in the Adirondacks is a one-trick pony, and BluSeed Studios founder Carol Vossler is emblematic of that: After graduating from a nearby college with a forestry degree and running a logging operation with her husband, she began studying art and leased a studio in Manhattan before returning to the Adirondacks full time. She bought and renovated this former warehouse, turning it into an art gallery, performance space and studio in 2002. BluSeed’s cozy second floor often hosts live music and exhibitions; classes are also offered regularly in ceramics, print-making, framing and papermaking.
