The Sembrich

Experience the Golden Age of Opera

The Sembrich Museum is the former teaching studio of Metropolitan Opera prima donna Marcella Sembrich (1858-1935), a pianist, violinist, teacher, Polish patriot and benefactor who summered in Bolton Landing from 1922-1934. Here, Juilliard and Curtis Institute vocal students sought instruction from the acclaimed Sembrich. Situated on a wooded peninsula on Lake George, the studio contains memorabilia of a distinguished international operatic career spanning more than 50 years.
