Tucker Farms

Leave the GPS – getting lost in this corn maze is the whole point

Tucker Farms is famous among chefs for its New York State certified seed potatoes, which include purple, blue, red and other varieties. (They’re colored on the inside.) You can even order them by mail. But you have to show up to the farm to test out the Great Adirondack Corn Maze, a sprawling affair that occupies several acres of the farm from August-October every year. Each year’s maze is different – the design is visible from the air.

At a glance
  • Maze too easy? Head out on Friday or Saturday nights, when you navigate with a flashlight. Fright Night, near Halloween, adds chainsaw-wielding actors to the mix. Emerge from the maze to a bonfire and s’mores at the end.
  • A farm stand is open in the summer from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. in season. In addition to fruits and vegetables grown at the farm, a you-pick strawberry field is open in season.
  • An hour-long hayride and farm tour available during daylight hours when the maze is open.
